Saturday, May 20, 2016 at 5:30 PM at the Waterfront Museum:

Please come to a reading of Walt Whitman's "Song of Myself" in celebration of the artistic spirit in a time where art and poetry matter more than ever. Join artists, poets, writers, and vagabonds as we raise money for the Waterfront Barge Museum, the ACLU, PEN America, the NEA, and Sunny's Bar during a night featuring poetry, music, the sunset over the Brooklyn waterfront, and Walt Whitman's favorite snack.  I'll be reading alongside many others including Maggie Gyllenhaal, Peter Sarsgaard, Monique Truong, Adam Haslett, Micah Garen, Marie-Hélène Carleton, and John Hockenberry.

Organized by ScreeningRoom, this reading will take place on Saturday May 20, 2017 on the historic Waterfront Barge at 290 Conover Street in Red Hook. The reading will begin at 5:30PM with an after party at Sunny’s BarSuggested donation: $20
